The Asian Cultural Association (ACA) is a non profit organization formed in January of 1991 to preserve and promote the performing and visual arts traditions of Asia, including dance, music and filmmaking. We are located in Longwood, representing members from throughout the Central Florida and beyond.

Music and dance are the closest things we have to a universal language, one which cuts across all cultural differences. In the popular arts, there is an ongoing synthesis of each of the musical "dialects" into a common language. This synthesis, which has been going on throughout history, revitalizes the arts and increases the ability of the individual artist to express his or her vision.

We must, however, ensure that each dialect is also preserved intact, so that its unique elements are available for future generations. Other performing arts traditions, such as European classical music and American Jazz, have been enthusiastically adopted and supported by audiences worldwide. The performing Arts of Asia also need this type of broad based support if they are to remain alive and if they are to inspire future generations.
